The Enneagram is a model for understanding psychological and spiritual development based on the foundation of nine interconnected personality types.
Director of Enneagram Studies, Matt Schlegel
Matt Schlegel was introduced to the Enneagram 15 years ago through friends and family. Fascinated, he began exploring different ways of using this new tool. An engineer and scientist at heart, he developed methodologies to use the Enneagram to help organizations develop leaders, build effective teams, and solve challenging problems. He found that the Enneagram serves as a solid foundation for endless opportunities to explore and grow.
Matt often says that the Enneagram is the single most important thing he has learned in life. Through it, he has discovered a deep understanding and acceptance of himself. He has also developed a deep appreciation and acceptance of others for who they are, and the roles that each of us play for the benefit of the community. This deep appreciation of others is what drives Matt’s passion for the Enneagram and desire to share this tool with others so that they, too, can enjoy the perspectives that the Enneagram provides.
As Director of Enneagram Studies at the Center for Spiritual Life, Matt desires to create forums to explore the many dimensions of the Enneagram, from the basic understanding of the Enneagram as a tool for personal discovery to the fundamental underlying structure of the Enneagram. Exciting areas of exploration include leadership, team dynamics, biology, psychology, mathematics, and more.

Enneagram and your Parents
Jan 22 (Tues) at 7:30PM
Back by popular demand we are conducting a workshop in which we reflect on the Enneagram types of our parents and how they shaped us, our siblings, and our families. We will also be reflecting on the overlap between the Enneagram and Bowen’s Family System Theory.
Enneagram and Decision Making
Feb 26 (Tues) at 7:30PM
In this workshop we will examine how each Enneagram type approaches decision making – what’s important, what’s not, and what are the barriers to making decisions.
In March, April and May we conduct a three workshop series: 1) Beginning Enneagram, 2) Lines and Wings; and, 3) Paths for Integration/Disintegration for Personal Growth and Creativity
March 26 (Tues) 7:00PM (NOTE THE EARLY START TIME.)
Back to basics. In the workshop we review the Enneagram fundamentals. This a great workshop to bring friends and family just becoming familiar with the Enneagram! The more the merrier, pros and novices alike! It is always fun and instructive to have all Enneagram types represented in the workshop.
Lines and Wings
April 23 (Tues) 7:30PM
Each of us changes over time as do our behaviors. The Enneagram captures these dynamics using the concepts of paths of integration and disintegration (lines) and overlapping behaviors of neighboring types (wings.) In this workshop we deepen our understanding of the behavioral variations of each Enneagram type using lines and wings. .
Paths for Integration/Disintegration for Personal Growth and Creativity
May 21 (Tues) 7:30
Clockwise motion around the Enneagram is very challenging for most of us. This challenge presents an opportunity for personal growth. In this session we will examine how our path of integration provides an attainable solutions to emulate behaviors that most challenge us. Also, we will explore how the see-saw motion along the paths of integration and disintegration presents opportunities for creativity unique to each Enneagram type.
